to our e-math work and our Math Investigations curriculum. The
technology has added a new perspective to our teaching and student

mathematics. We insist on working for the long range goal of
understanding higher mathematics. I have steadfastly refused to
allow teachers to teach the test or practice CRCT to the exclusion
of good teaching." "The best testimony for the eMath program was seen in our third
grade classes. The same teachers at DES have been involved with all
4 years of the eMath program. When many scores dropped, third
grade saw an increase in the exceeds category from 29% to 55%. This
should be attributed to the ability to teach higher order thinking
skills through technology. There is no question that the eMath
program has given teachers the tools to be successful."
